‘Transformative’ FIA Foundation-backed school safety programme wins WRI Ross Prize for Cities

The NGO Amend has won the prestigious WRI Ross Prize for Cities, beating almost 200 applicants to the $250,000 award. Amend’s School Area Road Safety Assessments and Improvements (SARSAI) programme was recognised for its ‘affordable, life-saving and scalable’ interventions. SARSAI has been supported since inception with grants from the FIA Foundation.
