Safety programmes highlighted at International Council of Motorsport Science AGM

The FIA Foundation participated in the virtual International Council of Motorsport Sciences (ICMS) AGM, which showcased the work of a number of FIA Foundation-funded motorsport safety programmes.
The ICMS convenes global experts to share the latest innovations in motor sport safety in the medical, scientific, sanctioning body, and race car constructor communities in which FIA Foundation’s Motor Sport Safety Adviser, Will Phillips, participated.
The impact of the Foundation’s motorsport safety funding was prominent in a number of presentations. Dr Naomi Deakin presented on the progress of the ‘RESCUE RACER’ concussion diagnosis and management programme, while the conference also heard research updates from Gérard Saillant, President of the FIA Medical Commission, summarising recent FIA projects and safety developments which continue to be supported by the FIA Foundation.
