Avi Silverman
ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Avi Silverman is Acting Executive Director of the FIA Foundation.
He has extensive experience working in international development, sustainable mobility and road safety. As a thought leader on safe and sustainable mobility he has worked with international organisations, development banks and governments on improving finance for road safety.
His current work includes directing a new collaboration with Formula One motorsport and technical experts from around the world to improve the safety of race circuits.
In addition to leading global campaigns and initiatives for the FIA Foundation he has also worked for UNICEF establishing its first international programme on road traffic injury prevention. He is also a Lancet Commissioner on Adolescent Health.
He has a Master’s in International Relations and Politics from Cambridge University and a BA in History from Oxford University.
