Denmark launches Think before you Drive

On 24th March, the Danish automobile club FDM launched the Think before you Drive campaign in Hundige with the support of the Danish DTC-champion Casper Elgaard. Motorists were offered a free car safety check. Experts checked whether seat belts were functioning properly, child restraints were properly installed, head restraints correctly adjusted and tyres in good condition.

The two-day event in Hundige clearly showed that there is still need for improvement. Nine out ten motorists needed to get their head restraint readjusted. Eight out of ten were told that they had not properly installed the child restraint and 60% of the tyres did not have the correct pressure. DTC-champion Casper Elgaard demonstrated in a roll-over seat belt convincer car how important the seat belt is.

The Think before you Drive campaign will move to six more cities in Denmark.
