South African Transport Minister Jeff Radebe has met officials of the AA of South Africa to discuss the recommendations of the Make Roads Safe report.
AA of South Africa CEO Ed Kok and Divisional Manager Petro Kruger asked Mr Radebe to raise the Make Roads Safe report with Ministerial colleagues, including the South African President, Thabo Mbeki, with a view to South Africa promoting road safety as an issue of concern for the global community. Every year more than 10,000 people die on the roads in South Africa.
