The proceedings of a road safety conference attended by representatives of 10 African countries in May 2004 have been published. The conference in Windhoek, Namibia, was organised by the National Road Safety Council of Namibia and the AA of South Africa. The Namibian Minister of Transport, Dr Moses Amweelo, opened the conference, which brought together police, government officials and road safety campaigners from across the region.
