The FIA Foundation has organised a high level conference on global traffic injury prevention, "Sharing Responsibility for Safer Roads".
The aim of the conference on 11 February 2003 was to focus attention on the trend of rising road traffic injuries in many parts of the world and to discuss strategies for injury reduction. The conference brought together public health and transport authorities and agencies to share experiences and to promote closer co-operation.
International speakers included the Director General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Gro Harlem Brundtland. Other participants in the conference included representatives of international agencies working in the road safety field, leading academics, national transport authorities, motoring organisations and other road safety practitioners.
On this page you can access the keynote speeches, interviews and presentations made at the conference: a full report of the conference proceedings is now available from the FIA Foundation.
