The FIA Foundation, BP and Ford today unveiled a joint initiative to promote road safety through a worldwide campaign linked to the FIA World Rally Championship. The three organisations will work closely to promote safe driving and in particular the importance of seat belt safety.
Team driver François Duval helped launch the campaign at the Rallye Deutschland when he tried the 'Go Safer' seat belt simulator with Jost Capito, Director, Ford Team RS and the head of Ford's world rally programme. The simulator will become a regular feature at most championship rounds in Europe and spectators and visitors will have the opportunity to try the simulator and experience the force for themselves as well as testing their driving skills.
