Foundation backs Cyprus seatbelt campaign 

'If only one life is saved, our campaign is worthwhile': this is the message from the Cyprus Automobile Association as it launches a seatbelt awareness campaign aimed at drivers on the Mediterranean island. Using an FIA Foundation seatbelt slide - which replicates the energy of a car crash to vividly demonstrate that seatbelts save lives - the Cyprus AA and the Cyprus Police are running a campaign roadshow during October and November. The campaign was successfully launched in the main square of the capital, Nicosia, by the Transport Minister and the Mayor of Nicosia, gaining widespread media coverage.
